Dear all,

In the past, i used xml3.0 dom object in ASP to retrieve XML data.  For example

set DataSrc = Server.CreateObject("Microsoft.XMLDOM")
set DataNode = DataSrc.selectNodes("RAW_DATA/PUBLISH[@NUM='" & vNum & "'&&@DAY='" & vDay & "'&&NAME='" & vName & "']")

where vNum, vDay, vName is variables.  That's ok, no problem in ASP programming.

However, after I changed to use XML4.0, it shows error in line 2, my coding is:

set DataSrc = Server.CreateObject("MSXML2.DOMDocument.4.0")
set DataNode = DataSrc.selectNodes("RAW_DATA/PUBLISH[@NUM='" & vNum & "'&&@DAY='" & vDay & "'&&NAME='" & vName & "']")

The error msg is:
Error Type:
msxml4.dll (0x80004005)
Unexpected character in query string. PUBLISH[@NUM='1'-->&<--&@DAY='SAT'&&@NAME='Administrator']

I dont understand the meaning of error message.  Please help!

MANY THANKS!!!

Regards,
Seasons
