Attachment gets lost when cut pasted in a mail

We have our own database which contains memo form to send emails to our customers. Now when we send an email in which we paste some attachment cut from the other document of the database and send the email, the attachment gets lost.
It works fine if we first detach the file and than attach it into the mail.

any help will be appreciated.

You can past into the body of an e-mail message in Notes but to create an attachment you must use the Attach menu command or SmartIcon. Pasting will not do it.
