change bdc to pdc
Hi:
I've upgrade Windows NT server backup domain controller to Windows 2000 Server. But I can't I add the other domain?
If I have to promote bdc to be pdc, how should I promote it?
Thanks.

Go to Server Manager, select the BDC. Click on Computer then Synchronize with the Primary Domain Controller. Watch the system event log. It will tell you when the updates have been applied. Then go back to Server Manager, select the BDC, click on Computer and select to Promote to PDC. This will automatically promote the BDC to a PDC and will demote the PDC to a BDC.
Oops, I've read your question wrong. Sorry.
You've already upgraded a BDC to W2K? What other domain?
If you upgraded the wrong server, just take it off the net and rebuild it to be a W2K member server. Promote another BDC to a PDC and upgrade that one to W2K.

You shouldn't be upgrading an NT4 BDC to W2K, you should be upgrading the PDC first.
'dcpromo' usually is the way to go.
