I have run into an error several times while trying to install extra features in Office 2000.  After reinstalling Office I still got the error, so decided to give up.  Now I'm trying to install a remote desktop connection and I'm getting the same error!  It says "Error 1926. Could not set file security for file c:\config.msi.  Error: 5.  Verify that you have sufficient priveleges to modify the security permission for this file."  I'm running W2K and have administrative priveleges so can't understand why I'm getting this error.  Checked the security on the folder and I have security to do everything on it.  No luck finding anything on MS KB.  Any ideas?  Help!!

his occurs because the system and user temporary (temp) files are being written to a disk drive that does not have sufficient unused space (for example, 500 megabytes).

To resolve this issue, the environment variables "TEMP" and "TMP" must be configured so that the temporary files are written to a disk drive with more unused space

or

Give the local Administrators group or the Everyone group FULL access to the root of C:\.
