I SAVED A PRINT JOB TO FILE.  HOW DO I OPEN IT?

AND AS A MATTER OF FACT, YES, I DO FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT.

You can open a .PRN file with any text editor, such as notepad or wordpad in Windows, or with EDIT in DOS.

Notepad and Wordpad are both available off the start menu in the Accessories group.

If in DOS, just type EDIT and the name of the file and it will open.

After peeking at your profile, you could also open the file in Word.

If you sent output which was destined for a printer to a file and are using Windows then the file is probably full of escape & control codes to control that kind of printer.  If this is the case, you will not be able to easily edit the file.  You can print it to the same kind of printer though with
