Brand new 867 DP Mirrored Drive door G4. OS X 10.2.2. Everything is up to date. I've deleted the PowerManager preferences, zapped PRAM, repaired priveliges, run disk first aid, (norton DD doesnt see drives in the mirroreds),  etc. The machine will sleep when selected from the apple menu, and via the power button on the monitor, but wont sleep on schedule via the Energy Saver control panel. Fax STF isnt set to answer the line, wake for administrator access is off. Im open for ideas.

Those are all Mac OS, not OS X. I cured part of the problem by removing Norton Missed Tasks which had several processes launched and at least one Zombied. It worked for a day or so and for some reason, doesnt again. I did reinstall Palm Hotsync software but it's off so shouldnt be conflicting.

Is the HotSync attached to the system?  Or is the extension(s) turned off?  What type of video card are you using?  I scanned an article at Apple that stated a Radeon 9000(I think) video card was causing sleep issues..Apple was aware of the problem, and no solution was currently available.

P.S. Sweet system!

The hotsync cable is disconnected. It's extensions are installed by Hotsync is disabled. The card is a Radeon 9000 but i thought it was the 8500 that was causing sleep issues.
It's waking from sleep that is the issue posted here....however, it's worth a call to Apple, or check out Apple's discussions board...it's checked by Apple guro's for issues' with new systems

Waking from sleep isnt my problem, it's purely that it doesnt go to sleep after X minutes. I can put it to sleep fine now (there used to be a long delay). I've checked all the apple KBase articles but came up with very little. It's probably something stupid that im missing.

Got it...This seems dumb but I had Personal File Sharing on which aparrently wont let an OS 10.2 machine sleep on schedule.
