In need of E-mail connectivity Help!

Recently installed a SBS2000 server with Exch2000.  Here is the setup.

exchange server(192.xxx.xx.x) --> DSL Router (192.xxx.xx.x) --> External Router IP (216.xxx.xxx.xxx)

I can definately send out and has been tested several different times.  Where the problem lies is, the SMTP receiving.  Obviously, the ISP has created an MX record and when I do a nslookup, everything is correct, ie. server name, domain, external router IP and DNS primary and secondary for the ISP in concurrence with the ISP DNS.  So of course when the ISP does a test mail, it is received becuase it is within the system so to speak.  However, any addresses from anyone outside of the ISP cannot be received by the mail server.

Have I overlooked some configurations?  In addition to that, I of course cannot connect to OWA regardless of the mailbox or password.  The error displayed is a DNS lookup error.  I am willing to sacrifice the majority of my points for this one.  We are getting close to mission critical necessity.  Thanks in advance.

what DNS is defined as SOA for your domain ?
from an outside ip can you do a telnet to your MX record on port 25 ? I supose that you can considering that you can receive from ISP but try it anyway.

Did you asked the ISP to look into it ? It seems that your zone is hosted by them so they should be in charge of publishing the modifications of the zone. Ask them to change the update number on the zone or to recreate a fresh one. Once a modification is made usually takes few hours ~24-48 for the propagation of the update.
