I want to have my VB program run immediatly after Internet Explorer is executed.  Is there any way to do this?

Thanks!

I think you can write plugins for IE.
Check this PAQ for a possible answer
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web/Q_20330644.html

If you can't do this, you can have it run all the time and actually appear to the user when it detects internet explorer. You would need to constantly check what applications are open and if IE appears, make your application visible.

Hope this helps,

Oops, that link to IE plugins in the PAQ went dead.
This is the new URL to it (I think):
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnwebgen/html/bho.asp
its quite simple if u are on windows 98 or ME

open up  "system.ini"
on the line Shell = Explorer.exe

add your exe so it will look like this

Shell = Explorer.exe myapp.exe

it might need a comma between, not too sure but it will work one way or the other

I heard of a method to add some bytes to the end of an EXE with a pointer to the address of 'myapp.exe'.  Does anybody know anything about this?
