I am using ActiveState V.5.6, build 633 and the latest perl/Tk.  I execute a SQL Server 7 select statement, putting the results in a TableMatrix table.  I need to delete the table, so I can execute another SQL select statement.  I have tried
 $t->pack('forget');
$t->selectionClearall(0,"end");
$t->clear(all);
$t->delete('end');
where $t is my TableMatrix widget.

The pack->('forget') deletes the table, but is this the only way to do it?  The other methods had no effect.

what do you want to delete?
  - just the display of the widget
  - the table widget and its data itself
$t->pack('forget') only deletes the display
undef $t  removes the widget from memory completetly
