I have a Lotus Notes Dababase form being viewed on the web that has to be defined as Open in Edit mode so that the web user can input data that I need.  However, I also have a view created using that form that the user community in my company needs to review but I don't want the view to automatically open in edit mode. Is there some way I can do this?  Thanks, Boston Rose

Use a form formula for the view. To do this, first create a copy of the form. Then change the form properties on this new form to disable the "Automatically open in Edit Mode" option.

In the Form Formula object for the view, put a formula like the following:

@If(@ViewTitle = "WebReviewingView"; "Form2"; "Form1")

Hope this helps.

In this example if the document is opened from the view called "WebReviewingView", then Form2 will be used (Auto Edit Mode can be disabled in this form), otherwise Form1, the original form is used.

Give the user community reader access to the database. So that the form will be presented to them in read mode.

Thanks to both of you, I tried the form example and it works great.  BostonRose
