convert .lwp file to .doc or Word

I need to convert a file from Lotus WordPro to Microsoft Word. What is the best way to perform that transfer?

Hi there,
I have both Lotud WordPro (v9/2000 and v7) and Word 2000. I use both a lot and transfer between them quite easily.
The trouble is that Word accepts very limited input formats - essentially only those from MS!
However if you save your LWP document as either Word 95 (same as 2000) you will be able to then read it into Word.
Conversely, if you save a Word file with the .doc extension then LWP will read it nicely!
As mentioned above you can use RTF for everything but it is an extra stage and you CAN lose some formatting...

However... going from LWP to Word ALSO loses formatting like boxes and bulleting but these can easily be restored on the receiving system.

If you can tell me EXACTLY which versions of LWP and Word you have I can give you a precise answer...

Good luck....

organgrinder never returned to the site after the day of asking the question.  From its wording, it cannot be told whether the questioner has Lotus WordPro or not (only the output files in the latter case.)  It seems to me LeeTutor covered both bases adequately, so will award to him.
