We recently had a few users on our Lotus Notes system receive emails from Outlook users.  The Outlook users had sent attachments in TNEF format.  The Lotus Notes receivers have to request the Outlook senders to resend in plain or HTML.  However, in reading the tecnical information in Microsofts Q241538 document, it mentions that a server could block a TNEF attachment.  Does Lotus Notes Domino servers have the ability and where is the setting?  Thanks.

TNEF is introduced by OUTLOOK mails. So you have an option either to instruct outlook users not to send mail in MS Richtext format. Check this,

To remove specific attachments you might have to use some utility like this virus remover (Specify TNEF in this utlity). http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/sandbox.nsf/ecc552f1ab6e46e4852568a90055c4cd/bb716869fb2e0f66852568e0005e568f?OpenDocument

HemanthaKumar,

As I read into your answer, does this mean that Lotus Notes Domino does not have a setting to remove TNEF attachments?  Per Q241538, it appears Microsoft Exchange does have the setting.  Thanks
Yes. But second link deals with attachment removal.
