Interdev and Sourcesafe integration

Hello,

We are placing all of our projects and such into Microsoft Visual Sourcesafe.  The admin gave me access to the VSS database and i can get to it.  Through sourcesafe, I added the Visual Basic files and such.  When I open Visual Basic and open the project from the VSS working folder, everything is fine.

However, when I import the Interdev files in Sourcesafe, then open the Interdev project from the VSS working folder, nothing appears to be in sourcesafe.  When I go to "Project ==> Source Control", the "Add to Source Control" option is there, but I'm not sure what to do...it prompts me to add it to sourcesafe and I get the following error:

Server Error: A file aaaaaaaa.cnt not found error occurred while operating on file "$/"  Verify that the file's permissions are correct and that you have write access to the Visual Sourcesafe repository.

Now i should have write access since I can manually put the files in sourcesafe using the "add files" button.  The files are using IIS on my local machine.

How to I integrate it so that it works like Visual Basic does?  Thanks.

Thanks, but I figured out the answer from a coworker.  Unfortunately, I can't find this in any MSDN document.  But to work with a remote sourcesafe database you have to edit the Srcsafe.ini in the VSS Directory and set variables to the path of the server for it to work in Interdev.

I recall having to burn a MS call to get the documentation. As you mentioned, the tips and tricks of integration are not easily found!!

Glad you have it working!
