does any one have a bit of code to give a idea about how to work with smart cards using vb... how can we read and write data

all smart cards have their protocol. not like embossers which make the credit cards.  you have to know what protocol they are using for their certain card.  infact you can write your own protocol if you have cards that you don't want anyone else to read.  the idea is that they are supposed to be more secure. Some card makers (who make cards for other people) don't even know what the protocol is on certain cards, it's supplied by the people who hold the rights to the card.
