I know there is a section in Exchange 2000 that allows you to add the symbols that exchange can read in an e-mail address.

Someone who has an apostrophe in their email address is trying to send our company an email and exchange is blocking it because of the symbol.

Anyone know where this area is in the Exchange? For some reason I am completely missing it.

I don't think it's possible in Exchange 2000, had a discussion with cscharff about it when 2000 first came out. It isn't fully rfc compliant, just allows a-z, 0-9, - and . in the name, you'll have to install 5.5 instead or get a firewall that can change the ' in the incoming email into a different character.

It ended up being the firewall not Exchange. That was crazy. Thanks Andvalder!
