Every now and then my computer just goes into standby mode. I have disabled the power managmeant settings in  control panel help!

Check the settings for power in the Bios - If they are not set right, they will override the control panel settings

As advised by DTHConsulting above, I usually disable power management in bios in additon to setting the power management in control panel to never. Dave
