could some one please help me how to write search page and results page in asp with vb script.On the search form I need to put 1 text box and 1 command button.I want to put projcode for search.I want to show all the releated fields in another page.(I am using dreamweaver mx)

u have to make a connection between ur database and asp page first. Then have to create a recordset. And then u can take the desired results according to the search.

There's a\lot more to building searchpages than just a recordset and a db-connection.

You have no control over the number of words people will type in your textbox and you will have to add some Wildcard-functionality to get relevant results.
If you check out the article i pointed to, you will build a search page in no time.
