check proxy addresses to access to your server. it should be the same
Well Mr.  Rajesh Nair I have faced the same problem what you have to do in the connection tab of internet options under tools menu you have to give socks and secure proxy port address as 1080 / the port number of the socks  and secure proxy.

Try it out and give a feed back

Arun is right but if your proxy is sophisticated enough and works with all protocols transparently, you do not need to use socks.  I hate socks for some reason.  I would first look at the other PCs settings and compare to the ones giving you problem.  If the computer OSs' gateway are set to  your proxy and your proxy allow HTTPS in addition to all the other protocols, all your systems should be able to access Internet.  Also, compare the browser settings as Arun_dl suggested.

We r using a wingate proxy server on Win NT 4.0. I have tried both the options in client side PCs. But hotmail login is still working. Other web based mails r working fine. POP3 through the wingate proxy is also working.
Please read my above comment as hotmail loging is still 'not' working
Rajesh, really I dont understand what could be the problem bcoz I have faced the same problem what I did was explined above.  If still problem continues I think manually some one has to check the working of the proxy.

Anyway bet of luck

Just try it.
