You need to get the ActiveX object into the webpage first.  Use the EMBED (old way) or OBJECT (HTML 4.0 way) to get it into the page.

Once there, you can access the OBJECT id work with the control methods from there.

you could also try the following code -

var oObject = new ActiveXObject("Library.Class")
oObject.doSomething();
