Win 2000 Terminal server/restrictions

Saara used Ask the Experts™
Does anyone know how to restrict users from writing to c:-drive. The problem is that people are transfering files with ftp to drive c, although their home directory is in drive d: .

If I change the permissions to drive c with no write permissions all of the applications doesn´t work properly anymore. I´ve found out, that for example PowerPoint needs the write permissions in the c:\program files\-folder.

I do not think that you can change the permissions on drive C and still have everyone function properly under a terminal server enviorment.
The only thing that you can do is inform you users to transfer their files to the correct locations. I am assuming that you are working with professionals.

Hmmm.."professionals" is too much for them. I would call them.. Anyway, I try to inform them. Thank you very much!
