Fatal System Error while booting Win XPH
This morning I tried to boot my Dell Inspiron laptop with Windows XP Home, and got the following blue screen error:
Stop: c00002121 {Fatal Exception Error}
The Session Manager Initialization process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x0000034 (0x00000000 0x00000000) The system has been shut down.
The only reference I could find to this on the web was regarding GoBack software, but that's not installed on my system.
The system will not boot from the HD at all.
Any suggestions?

Last known good configuration ended up working. I actually got an answer from Dell after only 2 minutes on hold.
Sounds like stevenlewis should get the points, since he did suggest that in his second comment.
Well, that's true. Didn't help in your case Lee?
I haven't tried it yet. Haven't even been back to my question today. I'm trying to give everyone lots of time to respond with suggestions before I actually choose some actions to do.
mweinstock Glad you're up and running

curious as to why the "B", since it was the exact fix?
