post variables disappear with cookieless="true"

So here's the problem.
I'm posting from an asp page to an aspx page with a form submit set up.

In the web.config file when cookieless=false everything works fine.  The aspx can read the Request.Form variables
from the asp page.
BUT
when cookieless=true the Request.Form variables are not there.

Any ideas?

why do you need to use Request.Form ???
you can access controls directly.

If I had a text box called "phone"
I thought you could only do Request.Form("phone")
how would you do it?
Also note that I'm not using code behind pages.
When I see how you do I'll give it a try. However, I still don't think that will solve my problem of the form variables going away like I stated above but we'll see.

try this:
I am using C# but vb code will be the same
<%@ Page Language="C#" %>
<script runat="server">

    // Insert page code here
    //

    void Button1_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) {
    TextBox2.Text = Phone.Text;
    }

</script>
<html>
<head>
</head>
<body>
    <form runat="server">
        <asp:TextBox id="Phone" runat="server"></asp:TextBox>
        <br />
        <asp:TextBox id="TextBox2" runat="server"></asp:TextBox>
        <br />
        <asp:Button id="Button1" onclick="Button1_Click" runat="server" Text="Button"></asp:Button>
        <!-- Insert content here -->
    </form>
</body>
</html>
