When I play a CD I can't adjust the volume. It just plays real loud. If I play a CD game I do not get any sound. This had just happened since I replaced the power supply. I have checked all connections and it does the same thing on either CD drive.

This has got nothing to do with changing the pwer supply. Try adjusting the sound properties. It should work. Otherwise, try uninstalling and installing the sound drivers. You could alternatively try connecting headphones to the socket in front of the CD. Check to see if the sound is working fine there. If it is working fine, then be assured, that there is a problem with your sound drivers. Reinstallation is the best alternative to this.

Worst case senario is that it may be possible if you have accidentally disconnected the CD-AUDIO cable going from the CD-Rom drive to the soundcard. It has 4 little teeth going in a horizontal line at the end of each side. Take a look at that if you still get no sound.
