How do I open a EML File in Outlook Express? I get the following message when I try to open one.

You may have a virus. Go to http://housecall.antivirus.com/ for a free online scan.

Check out the title:

OLEXP: Unable to Open EML File Attachments in Outlook Express
hm.. what the descriptions go over are basically the same as using the default filetype settings
strange that ms would take the long way around this

Be sure to check for viruses first. You may just have your OE settings to disallow opening of that type of file.
Hi,
Without a virus issue, the easiest way would be to drag and drop the EML file into OE.
How to do this?
- Copy the EML file to desktop
- Open Outlook Express
- Left click on the EML file, and while keeping the mouse button down, move the pointer onto the OE window
- You should see a (+) sign appearing near the pointer, move it to your Inbox folder, and drop it (leave the left mouse button)
Now you should see and open it in OE...

OK?
