I just wonder what will cause a windows 2000 suddenly restart without any Warning. I thought it was my power supply. I install a new one from 250 to 300 watts. It doesn't solve the problem.

Thanks.

In my experience, this is almost always caused by BAD RAM.

Also, if you are connected to a network, could be an SMB attack or ping of death, etc. Make sure you install the latest service patches and hotfixes for 2000.

The best way to elaborate jhance and scottrma points are to do a isolation test on both incidents:

- Replace with working good RAM by pieces to test
- Setup a firewall to test and open up port one by one to determine.
