Modem Connection

Hi

I have a pc that has Windows XP and modem sharing setup ok. I have two laptops one dual boots in Win98 and win2000. The win98 version connects thru the XP machine with no probs (I used the disk that XP creates). I'm having problems with the Win2000. It connects to the XP machine ok on the network, but can't seem to use the the modem that is on the XP machine (I just get page not found errors). Can anyone help? I can ping the XP machine from the win2000 so the network is o.k.

Thanks
Ron

Did you check under the connections tab under your internet properties box? Do you have more than 1 connection listed? If you do, did you check the proxy settings for the correct connection?
