I'm using Java 1.4.1 and IE6.  I have the plug-in installed.
My files are all located in the same directory on the server.
My html looks like this:

<APPLET CODEBASE = "." CODE = "workDammit.class" WIDTH = "1000" HEIGHT = "550">
</APPLET>

When I run my applet I get the following error in the java console:

load: class workDammit.class not found.

Make sure you're not reading outside the applet's document base and:

Are you sure *all* IO is being done by other means than Files?

By the way, it runs fine when I open it from my files on my pc.

I'm pretty sure alright.  I took out the line 'import java.io.File;' and it all compiled ok.

Where are you now? It may be that you have to post the code AND the html

If you've made all the necessary changes, then i don't see why you shouldn't have it running. Better post the new code when you've checked it thoroughly.
