let me start by saying that i'm not a Mac guru but i had the exact same problem. I've just renamed de file from &quot;something&quot; to &quot;something.fla&quot; and it worked fine.<br />

The file i had was created on Flash 5 (Mac) and opened in Flash Mx (Pc).<br />

I have copied an .fla file from my Mac to take wih me to work and keep working on a PC there but whenever I attempt to open the file in the PC at work it says it is an &quot;Unexpected file format&quot;,, I have taken my PC .fla files and transfered them and even emailed them to myself before and opened them on my Mac and it works fine but I can't seem to do it the other way around for some reason,, Any help or points to any third party apps to help with this is appreciated,,<br />
