A Join Problem
In CR8.5, when I join two tables from two different data sources, I encounter the following problems.
1) We are unable to specify the type of join (In Report Expert-Link Options, Equal is checked. All SQL Join types are disabled).
2) ‘Show SQL Query’ menu option (in Database Menu) is not enabled. This is enabled only when the selected tables are from same data source.
In Short, OUTER JOIN is not possible in the above case. But I need to edit the query to make the join outer. How can i do that? Please suggest me a solution.

DO you have smart-linking on by chance?
In CR7 it is in FILE --> OPTIONS
on the database tab.

Can you modify one or the other database? Are they the same type of database?
If you have 2 Access databases yu can create a linked table in one to the table in the other. You could then join the tables.
Don't know if that will work or not in your case.
