I want to change the Disabled Fore Colour of a Combo Box

I hate the default disabled fore colour of combo boxes.  There is no property exposed to change it but in the past I have been able to access properties of combo and list boxes (such as the search/find method) that are not exposed using the 'SendMessage' api call.  Can I do this and if so how?  There doesn't appear to be any documentation on it in MSDN.

Unfortunately you cannot do this to my knowledge.  What would be required for this to happen is to create an owner-drawn combobox control of your own or look at other combobox controls from third parties.

These are .Net ones, but may be useful to see the techniques as well.
