Well, it all depends on what you want your server to do.

Will it be a file server? a mail server? an internet sharing router? what?

Please provide more info.

OK,

- samba is first choice for acting your box as a file server for windows clients

- netfilter (iptables) can be used for masquerading several clients on one internet connection

providing you with a complete solution for that task is quite much work. please be aware, that everyone here tries to help other users in his _free time_ and is not paid for. So you perhaps might want to increase the points to perhaps 400 (then you'll probably find an expert who will do that job) or - quite better for increasing your knowledge - read documentation and earlier discussions covering that topic.

some good starting points could be:
- www.samba.org for the samba server
- man smb.conf for the configuration

- netfilter.samba.org for iptables/masquerading
- man iptables

- google (search for "gateway masquerading iptables linux")

there are probably millions of people out there, who taggled the same task and worked out a quite good solution.

PS: Samba configuration is quite easy using "swat" (a webbased graphical configuration utility); could be a good starting point for getting things up rather quickly
type "setup". there you will see many options on configuring the system, including one for "network".
