Problems with VPN Client for SonicWall Soho3
I recently tried installing SonicWall's VPN Client v8.0 on an Win2000Pro PC to connect to a SonicWall Soho3 appliance. While I was installing the client it rebooted my PC without question or error. As the PC came back up, after about 5 seconds of being idle on the desktop it would reboot again. I have to enter in Safe Mode to remove the software to stablize my PC again.
Now thinking perhaps it was the client itself, I tried setting up a VPN connection with Windows 2000 own built in VPN. I created the connection (using MD5), tried to enable the connection, and the PC rebooted again. If I create a VPN connection without MD5, it allows me to try to log in, but seeing as the sonicwall appliance is configured to use MD5, I'm sunk.
ARG!
Anyone else have this same problem? Solutions?
Thanks in advance...

I have just done the exact same installation and it went smoothly. I agree with sysExpert above. There are many moving issues but I would start with the firmware update. The latest vpn client works with the latest 2000 security patches.
Good luck
