SpoolSV error again

Hi

I have seen a few things about spoolsv at this site, but nothing that relates to my problem. (I think)

I have users getting the spoolsv error printing to NDPS printers, they get the error and there printers disaperar, if i start the print spooler service, they come back again. So far it's manily been with Xerox or Canon printers. With word and every other windows program.
We are using Windows 2000. SP3

any help would be great, Cheers

P.S Bitware is not installed :)

What Novell client are you running.  One of the clients stops the spools service.  If you restart the spools service you job may print, but eventually the service will die again.  I forget what client was causing this and am not sure that I documented it, it was over a year ago.
