SAPGUI for linux

Has anybody had any luck installing SAPGUI on linux.
I was able to install both SAPGUI and JAVA on my box.
Java seems to run fine, but when I say
"guistart /H/x.x.x.x./S/xx00"------I get an error
cannot execute "guistart /H/x.x.x.x./S/xx00"
Please guide,
help on setting paths also will be appreciable.

During a previous employment, we installed the SAPGUI on both Windows and Linux platforms.  The Windows install was pretty easy, but the Linux install was a complete pain.  There were a couple of undocumented (or poorly documented) "gotchas".

The PATH statement is probably alright.

type: whereis guistart

type: echo $PATH

(The path returned by "whereis" should be included in the list of paths displayed by the "echo".)

type: chmod 755 <guistart_path/guistart>

That should get you past the "cannot execute" error.

I seem to recall that the gui install process does not open up a required port.  Check the install document very carefully and make sure that any required port is set up in the /etc/services file.

The reply solved my error upto an extent.
What I actually did was :
 I changed the path "JDK_PATH_SAP_GUI="/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.1_01/bin/java"
which solved my problem
Thanks ,
