Window explorer like

I want an exact program code in c# for windows 2000 explorer. It must contain a Treeview and a listview. Most importantly it also must contain the area which shows a pie chart of the disk usage and all. I searched through the web. But was not able to find one similar to that. So, pls anyone can help me on this?

Hi Chester

First, you should get a Book on C# and/or Windows Forms. There is no chance you develop such an application without further background knowlegde.

Concerning your question about the "explorer-like" window: It's quite easy. You just have to dock (pull) a treeview-, a splitter- and a listview-control on your form, and that's it. But it's only the Sceleton.

Populating your treeview and adding information to the listview control is another big piece of work. You can start with the explanation in the framework helpfile but as a beginner you _will_ need a good introduction book.

However: There is unfortunately no VS-built-in control that represents this "area wich shows a pie chart". So you'll have to

a) program it yourself
b) buy this component from a developer (recommended). Take a look at http://www.componentsource.com/ for instance.

Hope this helped.

Regards,
Viktor
