add abc.com to the /etc/mail/relay-domains file. however, you haven't told us if the domain is on the same machine or not. if it is, then you may need to make changes to the /etc/mail/virtualuser file so that xyz@abc.com receives mail in their account (assuming abc is a user on your box) or you can map the whole domain to another domain e.g.
@abc.com @mydomain.com meaning mail from xyz@abc.com will be forwarded to xyz@mydomain.com
after making changes to relay-domains and virtualuser, you'll need to rebuild the virtualusers database using m4
(m4 virtualuser < virtualuser if i'm not wrong)
and then restart sendmail so the changes can take effect
hope it helps
