Red Hat and Windows dual boot...

Is it possible to dual boot windows (2000 or xp) and Red Hat?  If so, does anyone have a link to direct me to the best way of doing this on my laptop. Thanks!

Yes. You can install Red Hat in a machine with existing xp. The boot loader (GRUB or LILO) will give you options to choose which OS to use when the machine is booting. Follow the instructions from the installation guide of Red Hat (https://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-8.0-Manual/pdf/rhl-ig-x86-en-80.pdf).

I have come across two decent guides.

http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,3973,643604,00.asp

http://asia.cnet.com/itmanager/netadmin/0,39006400,39048805,00.htm

If you have an existing windows partition on your drive and need to make room for Red Hat you will have to make room. Be sure to bak up .... yadaa, yadda, yadda .... This program is free.
