Windows 2000 Server Install??

Hi,

I need to install Windows 2000 Server. I'm currently running Windows 2000 Professional which I'd like to keep installed. How should I go about installing Server, do I need to partition my drive and can I set up a partition without having to reformat my drive. The drive is already formated in NTFS.
Thanks.

You can install W2K Pro and Server on the same drive and same partition and dual-boot.  Just put the SERVER install into a DIFFERENT "Windows" folder.  The default for either version of W2K is C:\WINNT so put your server install into C:\W2KSRV or something similar.

jhance is right. If you want to change the order of booting you only then have to edit the BOOT.INI file and modify the RISC path.

Thanks lads, but would is it still possible to run Server off a seperate partition without having to re format the drive and also whats the best way about partitioning it?

Thanks for the help.
