I take it you want to use FP 2002 to create this.
1.  Go to File - New - Page or Web.
2.  Choose Discussion Web & if you are already in your website, check Add to Current Web & ok.
3.  Hit the Next key.
4.  Now check / uncheck the things that you do not want offered & hit Next.
5.  Enter in the top field what you want your Guestbook to be called.  The second fild - you can leave as is or change to gb or guestbook & hit Next.
6.  I would leave Subject, Comments ince you are creating a guestbook & hit Next.
7.  Choose how you want peope to leave you a message, probably unregistered since it is a guestbook & hit Next.
8.  How do you want people to view your comments.  Choose that & hit Next.
9.  Do you want the TOC the first thing that people see, make your choic & hit Next.
10.  How do you want people to search?  Choose that & hit Next.
11.  If you want to choose a web theme, here is your chance.  Or & hit Next.
12.  For the frame options - that is your choice.   Choose & hit Next.
13.  Now hit Finish.

If you do not like how you did something - you can always delete it & re-create it.  Play with it - see what you think of the options & everything.

Another option (nothing wrong with the one above) is to use the guestbook page rather than the discussion web. Go to File-New-Page Templates, choose Guestbook, and it's there. The default guestbook comes up with include pages at the top and bottom, but you can just delete that stuff. If you're new at it, try not to delete any of the FP comment text (the gray text in the HTML view).
