the only smtp settings in iis that i'm aware of are under the server extensions tab in the sites properties.
do you usually have an smtp service pane in iis?

No, since the first time installation I didn't find this pane. However I have ensured that this service is included in windows component installation list.
as far as I know there is not a separate pane for smtp service in iis.  you can set the properties for how a site will send mail at a sites properties>server extensions tab>advanced.  what is it you need to do?
yes, that's my problem. I can't find smtp pane on my IIS console. whereas I have checked on the other machine with win2k, there is.
