Will not go to DOC but will go to Txt file

If you have Adobe Acrobat 5 or greater, you can save the PDF file in RTF format (File, Save As). Still some tweaking to do but not a bad alternative. The RTF results depend on the type of Adobe PDF document you have (unstructured, structured, tagged). You can also save images in a PDF document seperately (File, Export, Extract Image As).
You can send you pdf file to
access-b@Adobe.com

It will be sent back to you in text mode.
You could also give Ghostscript (and Ghostview as a frontend) a try. The program is freeware and can read *.ps, *.eps and *.pdf files. It has e.g. also the option to extract/export the text from these files, and does not (at least the version I use) bother with the protection from Adobe Acrobat...
You can get it at:

Gtnx.
I know it's a tricky problem.
If your PDF is not too big, you could use the Text Tool in Acrobat to select and paste it in a new Word document. Of course, you'll have to take screenshot for the pictures. It's a bit painfull but it might be the cheapest way if your PDF is not too big.
Good luck !
lock man there is a PDF2HTML plugin working with Adobe Acrobat full version
you can convert your PDF to HTML
then take it copy'n paste in your word doc.

if you want this plugin let me know I can send it to you
thanks very much
