I am using outlook XP on both my home and work pc's. Is it possible to have them both share the same data, ex. address book, calender, inbox, sent items, deleted items and so on. I do not have an exchange server no do I wish to add one because my email is hosted by the same company that hosts my website. I do have a VPN that allows me to connect to shares on my work network. Thanks in advance.

If work outlook is configured to use a personal folder (pst) on a shared disk which can be accessed through VPN and home outlook configured to use the same pst, this should work if before going home you session log off from work and vice versa: outlooks keeps handles on pst file which can be opened only by one program at a time.
If you use a personal address book, it must be also accessible from a shared disk.

When you say session log off that means logoff, I normally close outlook and lock my work machine, I guess this would not work with your example.

If you Exit and Logoff Outlook, it will maybe release the handle on pst file.
What I noticed, if outlook is running, you cant access pst
If you exit Outlook, you 'might' be able to access the pst

If you completly logoff from the session, outlook releases obviously everything
If you Exit and Logoff Outlook, it will may be release the handle on pst file but I have never tried...(just thought about this a few minutes ago when replying your post)
