"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Determines which (service) accounts can register a process as a service.  An example of a service account can be a user account that has been set up to 'automate' something -- like if you have Veritas Backup Exec running, you would create a service/user account (maybe called backupexec) so that the the software can 'logon' and run in the background on it's own.  If this right was not set, then the software would not be able to start new processes needed to function on the machine.  This logon right applies only to the local computer and must be granted in the local LSA policy of each host computer...

Hope this helps
