Make sure the server that you are running this on has SoftArtisans FileUp installed.

You can obtain a demo version if you just need it for short term testing.

thanks genesydnet.

Can u tell me what does softartisans do. Why should I replace request. form to Objupload with softartisans. What do i have to do to install the softartisans fileup in the server. Is it necessary to install in the client machine too?

Is it a free download?

SoftArtisans have several products including asp based excel exporting tools, file upload tools (SAFileUp) and others.

The exact capabilities of SAFileUp I am not entirely sure of, but I know it can do both single and multiple file uploads.  There is probably more product info on their website.

The demo version is a free download, the full version will probably cost about $200 US.  SoftArtisans is a commonly used, and easy to use, method of http upload.  I have personally used SoftArtisans and have not used other methods so I can't really comment on the disadvantages of other methods.

You only need the SoftArtisans software, which comes in an installation package, installed on the server.

Hope this helps

SA Fileup is used to upload Attachments from the client to the server and supports Transactions.

Download it ..

Install it on the server  .. make sure that the c:\temp, c:\winnt\temp and the directory on the webserver that is storing the files once uploaded has Full Access

It is a little different using Sa-Fileup

instead of using the Request.Form it uses its own
object .. so everything posted from the form will come through the Sa-Fileup object.

But we use it and is quite good ..

Be aware that the Script Timeout setting when uploading large files as this would cause it to timeout
