How can i use JavaScript to edit a document instead of @command[@EditDocument].
Please help

Put this as JavaScript for your Edit button:
window.location=window.location.href.replace(/?opendocument/i,'?EditDocument')

This one liner script works also in <HEAD> section of your html page. Then it forces the document to open in edit mode.
