disable password login???

  I am using SUSE linux 7.1. The login dialog can no longer recognize my root password. Is there a way to tell the login dialog box to ignore the password???

i can tell u to change the root password again

if u using lilo .. and u never knew about this
try this on lili prompt

LILO: linux single
that will drop u in a root shell..
and then u can issue passwd command and make the new password ..  if its ur own computer .. u can do a lot of things

ohh after u were dropped in the single user root shell and u changed the password . after that do normal exit .. using exit command or reboot whatever ur wish ..
if u exit . that will take u to normal login prompt..
