SMTP bastion host

I am a newbie and need your help setting up a smtp bastion host - i want to setup a bastion host that basicaly runs sendmail and sits in the dmz and accepts all incoming emails for corporate and forwards into an internal ms exchange server. your help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Should be easy enough.  Disable all unneeded services, and run packet filtering unless you have reason not to.

Also I would recommend Postfix or qmail for this task, rather than sendmail.  If you're using Red Hat or one of the other major distributions, Postfix will be one of the available packages.
