To create static control with text I'm using following:
TStatic *pTStatic=new TStatic(this, -1, "Hello", 1,5,27,15);

What should I change to show static bitmap ?

i dont know what language but generally to do that you have to specify the SS_BITMAP style when you create the static control and afterwards send the STM_SETIMAGE message to it. in c++ i would load the bitmap from file or memory into an HBITMAP then
SendMessage(static,STM_SETIMAGE,IMAGE_BITMAP,(LPARAM)hbitmap);
your obviosully not using win32 api but it might help :o\
