What it the best USB Flash Drive for Linux?  Cig@r? I want to be able to take files to/from Win2k/linux

I could be wrong, but being that it is a USB device, I really don't think there are many differences between them.  The difference would come from your operating system's ability to recognize it as a "mass storage device".  Most recent versions of Linux, regardless of distribution should be able to do this.  Win2k should not have any problems, as it picked mine right up.  You might check out if one of the various companies’ web sites has better support, directions, etc. for their product though.

Anyone should do indeed. To mount it manually try:
    "mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/myfavoritemountpoint"
But be sure to create "/mnt/myfavoritemountpoint" first.

Use "vfat" if you wrote on it with a Win machine (which must be the case if you want to use it on Win as well). If you want to use it exclusively in Linux youu can always do a "newfs" on it, etc etc etc then it would be a "mount -t ext2 ..." etc etc

Personally I configured automount for it and use type "auto" so it can take all formats automagically.

PS: Not knowing your level I'd like to add just in case that "myfavoritemountpoint" can be changed to anything of your choice (I used "memstick").

I've purchased a cig@r pro 512.
It works well, very handy.

Do add more precision on barthalamu's reply I'dd even add that Linux kernels as of 2.4.xx support USB memory devices.
