Outlook Express 6.0 in the background?

Can Outlook Express be configured to run in the background such that I can recieve notification of incoming mail without launching the full application?

Mickemick7,
No, you cannot have Outlook Express run in the background. You can use a small free utility to check all your email accounts and set it up to check every 1/2 hour. It is call ePrompter.

Warren,
Thanks for the tip.  I checked out ePrompter on CNET but decided against it.  Reviews as to its functionality were excellent, but it got negative press about ads and "spyware"  which made me uneasy. I opted for Magic Mail Prompter (http://www.geeba.org/magic) instead.  Its not as sophisticated, but it does what I need.
